Marvin Krasny

Of Counsel

Mr. Krasny joined Maschmeyer Karalis P.C. in May 2009 and is currently of Counsel to the Firm.  He has significant experience in the areas of bankruptcy, corporate reorganization and creditors' rights law.  Mr. Kransy was for many years a Partner in the Law Firm of Adelman, Lavine, Krasny, Gold & Levin.  In 1987 he joined WolfBlock, LLP as the Partner in charge of its Bankruptcy Department.  He was of Counsel to the Firm.

Mr. Krasny had co-authored a weekly column entitled "Bankruptcy Update" for The Legal Intelligencer, the legal newspaper of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  In addition, he has published "Unsecured Creditors' New Role" for The Bankruptcy Strategist, and "Creditors' Rights and Protection of Security Interest" for the National Business Institute.

Mr. Krasny has lectured on bankruptcy for various organizations including the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Continuing Professional Education Committee,  the Graphic Arts Association of Delaware Valley, the American Association of Equipment Lessors, the Mid-Atlantic Council National Association of Accountants, the National Business Institute, Inc., Villanova Law School's Center for Continuing Education, and Dickinson Law School's Forum for Continuing Legal Education.  He has lectured for the National Business Institute on Lender Liability in Pennsylvania on Environmental Protection; and for Executive Enterprises, Inc. on Determining the Liabilities in Structuring the Loan: Environmental Concerns.  Mr. Krasny also has been involved in major bankruptcies in all industries including toxic torts and environmental concerns, and health care.  He is also a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.

Mr. Krasny is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law and has served as the Vice Chairman and the Chairman of the Bankruptcy Committee of that Section.  He was the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Bankruptcy Rules Committee of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Krasny also is a member of the American Bar Association's Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law and serves on the Business Bankruptcy Committee, the Chapter 11 Subcommittee and on the Commercial Financial Services Committee.  In addition, he is a member of the Commercial Law League and the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys and the American College of Bankruptcy Lawyers.  He is also on the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and has liquidated and operated many companies in that capacity.
